Welcome

Gilsland is a small rural village that straddles the border between Northumberland and Cumbria that has the Hadrian’s Wall Path running through it along with visible sections of the Roman Wall.

There is limited public transport, better in the summer than winter, with connections to the AD122 Roman Wall bus, which covers the central sections of the wall.  There is a school, tearoom, pubs, along with a Methodist Chapel and a selection of B&B’s in our part of the village.
